Voting is how we decide who represents us and which policies shape our future. Local elections affect your school, roads, public safety, and more. National elections decide presidents, senators, and members of Congress.
If you don't vote, someone else is making those decisions for you.
Select your state. Some states offer online registration.
If you're 16 or 17, you may be eligible to pre-register, depending on your state.
Every state has its own deadlines; some are weeks before Election Day.

Fun Fact: More than 8 million young Americans turn 18 every election cycle. If they all voted, they'd be the largest voting bloc in the country.
